When I close my eyes
I see sights of wonder
A fleet of clouds that fill the sky
And roar as one in mighty thunder
...

All I'd love is just to sleep
And find that dreamy paradise
Dream a dreamer's dream or two
With every moment emphasized
...

The things the sun reveals to me
Range far beyond what eyes can see
And though end result is seldom good
It shows all that I can truly be
...

An orange glow against the dark,
The heart of evening built from spark,
Brings me a feeling of such content
That when I lose it, I lament,
...

I walked along a railroad track,
Long abandoned, and for use it lacked
But overgrown it made a pretty sight
And thus I walked long into night;
...

What is thunder, but a noise?
Perhaps a roar of godly wrath
Or the echoes of uncertain laugh
That come from little-known joys
...

Everyone has the words somewhere,
it's just a matter of expression -
and if there's one thing I could teach,
that would be my only lesson.
...

'What a sight, ' said the man
Who stood on the hill.
'What a sight, ' he said,
And stood there still.
...

Through a thin, transparent veil
With the bleary eyes of sleep
And a mindset to prevail
And with memories to keep,
...

Visions Of A Dream

When I close my eyes
I see sights of wonder
A fleet of clouds that fill the sky
And roar as one in mighty thunder

And in the streets far below
A crowd has gathered to watch it rain
It is folly, for now I know
Only loss will find them, never gain

I see history as it's born
Past and future grapple in their making
I know not which wins and leaves the other torn
For I can feel myself awaking

And when I open my eyes
I see sights so mundane
It hurts me just to realize
That I will never truly see again
