Alone

Have you ever become so lost in thought
So concentrated on something
That the world around you seems to disappear?
Time stops
The people around you vanish
The sounds surrounding you turn to silence
And there you are,
Left alone with your thoughts
Peaceful for a while
Then one thought, one memory comes rushing back
To shatter the silence.
