As I close my eyes
The colours swirl
They twist and turn
And curve and curl.
...
As I spin around
In a circle
I dreaded what I would see
Once I opened my eyes
...
When I dream,
I am swallowed like an ocean drowning.
When I dream,
I am ambushed like a fire burning.

My mind makes me think
Dreams delving deeper,
Deeper,
Diving,

Dreams are true
Not for you, but it’s true.
They lie, and cry,
I told you they lie!

My dreams are evil,
They are laughing at me...
Taunting me...
Killing me...

People think of clouds.
But really they’re everything,
Except for the truth.

I am all that I dream:
I am a ship out at sea,
I am a friend that is drowning,
I am helping,

Death Dream
As I close my eyes
The colours swirl
They twist and turn
And curve and curl.
They form what I know
Will become a dream
They make me smile
And even scream.
They show me things
I wish to forget
That I may want to relive
But live to regret.
They drown me
Like I am stuck in the ocean
They leave me hot and flustered
Or cold and frozen
I scream for help,
But I am left to die.
There’s so much I wanted to do...
I wanted to fly!
I know time is gone,
I have started to ache.
I know all is lost,
But I just want to be awake.
