Pearl Weena Marie E. Sabido, M.D. Poems
Hello, dear stranger. And so we meet again. How long has it been, since that time when We loved one another, a ten on a scale of one to ten? Remember the old feelings, those you captured with your pen?
After I Die
Will my name still pass through your lips When I have finished my earthly trip? Will my face stay clear in your mind Or will my image be a blur and hard to find?
An Ode To The Beach
You ask what it is about the shore that keeps me in thrall But I do not have the words, except that I cannot resist its call You laugh when I dance to the sound of the crashing waves
My heart is not of this land; that is a certainty. But I hesitate to venture out towards my destiny. And why, I do not know.
The Beauty Of Youth
They say that the beauty of youth lies in its chaste notion of truth, in the sprightliness of its laugh, in the insouciance of its ways,
How Are You?
Now how would you answer if, while you’re at life’s lowest and your heart is in pieces, to you someone were to say,
Let me open my eyes at dusk tonight Don't drive damnation into my heart I don't mean to kill, I don't want a fight Just let me live, a war don't start
I'd like to say that I do not care That lately you've been insensitive I am, after all, my own woman By myself, all alone, I can live
In Memory Of Huey The Dog
Condemn me not for this heartless act I’ve willed, But a pup I’ve banished and probably killed. A stuffed dog though he was from a lover of old, And I did love Huey like he was one of my fold.
For My Loved Ones
Of you a small request I’d like to ask And that’s when I pass on you do this task First let the needy to my organs lay claim Then in God’s name cast my flesh to the flames
An Act Of Public Service For The Ladies
All you ladies, I bid you, hear me and take heed! If you care for yourself, this you had better read. It is a matter of the heart, of self-preservation indeed!
The Girl Named Sicily Smile
Let me tell you all about a girl named Sicily Smile. She was a girl who thought her life was all planned out, and could not waste even a while. She was, in general, quite happy-go-lucky, and was needless to say, a girl who was quite content and happy. She was also the sort of girl used to having her way. But that, unfortunately, was all to change one fateful day. That was the day she began to cry and cry, and angrily hurled this question up at the sky, “Why, dear God? Why? Why, of all the things I’ve always wanted, why choose this to deny? ”

Hello, dear stranger. And so we meet again.
How long has it been, since that time when
We loved one another, a ten on a scale of one to ten?
Remember the old feelings, those you captured with your pen?
You always gave me roses,
Said you were the luckiest of men.
Do you recall how you’d hold me tight,
And to your heart I’d listen?
And oh, all those kisses!
How we loved to share them so often!
Everything felt so right,
Like a dream whence I wished not to awaken.
But all that is now past. And even though we can
Be the most passionate of ...
