Phillip Knox Poems
In the Grip of Pain
In the grip of pain I find myself the victim of endless lies always pondering certainty of death with no peace of mind.
I Saw a Mocking Bird
I saw a mocking bird upon a tree alone, chirping a tune the skill of imitation bore he as it sang amid the gloom.
Her beauty was captivating sweet of heart, flustered within shades of hazel searching still luster.
Pearls At Your Feet
I search for expression of mind All I wanted to say that I could not Least you see by a cruel gaze, And wipe from your mind.
Passion is sometimes blind senseless, emotive rhythms of the heart attraction turned to ashes agaze on death's dawn.
Passion is sometimes blind senseless, emotive rhythms of the heart, yet agaze these shades of Autumn mistaken paths of love.
In the Footsteps of an Addict
Follow me in the footsteps of an addict to the streets of crack haven avenue tortured souls falling blind, erratic looking through mirrors of glass tubes.
In the night I hide shattered, broken of heart my soul cries in anguish I cannot see far.
Beauty In A Summer Breeze
Swallowed in a dream of bliss, and sunset berry kisses in the still of azure skies I gaze into your eyes.

In the Grip of Pain
In the grip of pain I find myself
the victim of endless lies
always pondering certainty of death
with no peace of mind.
I am the child of silent scorn
and in solitude I cry
what reasons for a broken soul
the shadows within my eyes.
The pen leaks with my own blood,
but barely captures the hurt
a heart running empty of love
never rise from my wingless hurse.
My future is bound within a curse,
and there are secrets inside
I hold, heavy, ready to burst
in the grip of pain I hide.
