Funny how it seems to be with some people
when they pretend to be nice
so when they first meet you
you get tricked into thinking
they're a good person
so you won't say a bad thing against them

All the time sizing you up
learning as much about you as they can
waiting for the right moment to strike
like a snake in the grass

Behind your back they'll start deceit
attempting to turn others to their cause
trying to stab you in the back
hidden behind their cloak

Eventually when they deem right
they'll break their cover
throwing down their false flags
letting their true standard fly high
before beginning their attack direct

Failing to notice the little signs would prove costly
as many of your links would be set on fire
all your guards were caught asleep
and now you'll pay the penalty

But if you were watching closely
you'd have known all along about the plan
been prepared for their assault
ready to deflect all the fire
waiting to block all the blades
kill the attack just as it's starting
it'll save you time and hurt

you don't have to follow it true
but just remember one important fact
