18 In 68 Poem by Sue Oxley

18 In 68

A woman phoned the other day
And said that she’d seen my website
And noticed
We were born on the same year.

And I said
‘To be 18 in ‘68
It doesn’t get much better than that,
How lucky we were’
And we sighed
And she laughed
And I wrote down her name.
