24 Hours Poem by Piolo Jan Lugo

24 Hours

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
The time strikes the modern clock.
As I stole a glance at my watch,
The heavens will fall and I couldn’t have a catch.

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
In the middle of a time,
Lapse I’m neatly stuck.
The cogs of time are fuming,
Please catch me dear, I’m falling.

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
Seems that good omen in you is intact,
But you made me suffer,
In spite of tremendous amount of love I offer.

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
You transformed my clock to rock.
Thought I would die,
The millisecond you said goodbye.

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
Let’s not bring the past back.
‘Cause it hurts me,
And forever would be.

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
What’s happening to my clock?
Appears that it is in a state of shock!
Mumble your name does my clock,
It seems to know that finding you was such luck.
