.3. Sam & Ella Poem by David Threadgold

.3. Sam & Ella

Who’s eaten all the chicken?
I’d left sitting in its juice
Did they cook it well enough?
Or is salmonella lose

We’ll all soon know the answer
Bowls we’ll soon be fetching
And everyone can huddle round
To ease they’re constant retching

Their legs will wobble wildly
Perspiring pounding head
They should have left it where it was
The way I’ve always said
