.3. What A Piece Poem by David Threadgold

.3. What A Piece

Rating: 5.0

Ornate carvings inlaid wood
Gilded handles as it should
Standing proud and looking good
Tooled with skill as craftsmen could

Ticking timepiece stood in place
In its very ornate case
Highly polished clean white face
Bang on time and keeping pace

Looking down within our hall
All around it seems so small
Standing more than six feet tall
Is Granddad’s clock against the wall?
