Hurdles are high
from where they lie
Finish line hard to spy
Running is not a breeze
High wire act
elevation is abstract
Pick up the slack
In the net of unease
Tossing and turning
the seas are churning
Quietness yearning
Someone throw the life jacket please
Strength is waning
Body complaining
Muscles straining
Falling the Pillars of Hercules

3 AM POEM...Beautiful...Thank you! Poetic way to describe how I feel right now as well, after going to bed at 3am and waking up at 7am, on a Sunday, hands tired, body too, but proud for being working so hard on my yard. I want my bed back :) But proud I am to have come here to spy your Poem. :)
JoJo, you've been reading too many of my fun poems. The shoe is on the other foot and I'm thoroughly enjoying yours. Top marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David

This is a great way to describe the times when you can't sleep because something is bothering you.
