.5. I Lived My Life Poem by David Threadgold

.5. I Lived My Life

Rating: 4.9

I lived my life the best I could
Did the things I thought I should
Some turned bad but most turned good
I’d do the same I know I would

I lived my life for every day
Hard at work and hard at play
Thoughts forgotten some will stay
I’d do the same in my own way

I lived my life to the letter
Ambitious sort a real go-getter
Knew my wife the day I met her
I’d do the same as there’s no better

I lived my life on even keel
Offered lots of love I feel
If secrets told my lips I’d seal
I’d do the same and that’s for real

I lived my life and tried my best
To tackle each and every test
Persistent sometimes not a pest
I’d do the same but now I rest
