.5. Take It Please

Born to a world of taxes
All taken without choice
Protest but it’s just pointless
No one hears your voice

Some foods we eat have taxes
The clothes we wear have too
TV for the family home
All licensed if you view

Taxes taken on our wages
In a very subtle way
The more we work the more they take
Directly from our pay

The car you bought had tax on
There’s a tax on all your fuel
A tax to put it on the road
Now road toll tax that’s cruel

They tax us while we’re living
Then tax us when we die
But can they tax us when we’re gone
For sure the taxmen try

Paying taxes is good when it goes back to us through government projects and services...Unfortunately, most of the taxes we pay (especially here in our country) goes straight to the pocket of corrupt government official...great write as always...a 10.
