I
Blue sky’s, smiling at me
The sun bellows into every inch of the room
I’ll get some yard work done
Maybe throw back a cold one on the porch
Enjoy this most perfect display
II
The rain acts like guards at the gate of a castle
The clouds hold back golden rays
Puddles collect and infect the pavement
Hearing the tiny drops play drums on the roof
Have to reschedule the 18 holes
III
16 inches overnight
The first fall is always the most exciting
Have to dig out the snow boots
Gloves and hats
Off to find the snow shovel
IV
The stars are out tonight
I don’t remember the last time I looked at the stars
A million shining speckles
Illuminate the sky
They’ll watch over me as I sleep
V
There is so much out there
So much world
So many people
So many things to see
Can’t waste time staring out a window
