50 Below Poem by Cory Jensen

50 Below

Without you
The last pieces of my heart are falling through
I don't want to be alone
Everything I need was right in front of me.

I'm so cold
Without you in my life, its 50 below.
Just stay here
I know now that I need you with me.

Without you
All my sunshine has faded away.
Time is short
Its the start of the icy season.

I try
To breathe as the cold air slices through me.
Without your
Heat beside me, I'm as cold as stone.

Its freezing
Since your warmth is out my door.
Its 50 below
My soul is beginning to wither.

I feel
My heart twist as a bitter chill takes ahold.
Nothing it can do
When its 50 below.

I really like the scheme and structure of this one, it makes one salivate for the next line.

Very neat metaphor,50 below. You will never be alone with yourself as a companion and the two of you being minus will make one plus!
