I can never turn my back on you
it makes too tempting a target
for your arrows and spiteful blades
the tips dripping with foul venom
I did all I could to help you up
despite the claws digging into my arms
every time I pulled them from my wrists
they seemed to pierce the skin once more
Am done with trying to heal us both
I don't have the strength
you drain more than you require
feeding off what you can
And so I will depart your world
before I become too diminished
although I am leaving you behind
I will not turn my back on you
