9/11 Poem by Shayne Goings

9/11

Where were you when the towers fell
I was in school listening for the bell
The screen came on with news so bad
In the towers was my own sweet dad
Mom came to get me with a tear in her eye
She wrapped me in a hug and started to cry
That was the year I turned seven
Knowing that daddy was up in heaven
