A Ballad Of The Heart Poem by Krupa ...

A Ballad Of The Heart

She gazed across the angry grey ocean
As the sea spray splashed the shore
Her heart a flood of love for the man
She left in a land yond before...

Her soul and spirit soared as that of a high flying eagle
When she heard the sound of the soldier's bugle
Thoughts of him far away rested upon her face
She knew him as her saving grace...

Though time had taught them all too well
Life was once a living hell
Distance afar had no meaning
But to walk thru life as one total being...

Therefore come nigh my sweet one
Let the time pass quickly by
Kiss the mist from my eye
To take away the heart felt sigh.
