A Better World For All Poem by Francis Duggan

A Better World For All

For a better World for all to live in
Do not look to others with yourself you begin
By as a person becoming more compassionate and kind
In most people there is room for self improvement in their working of mind
There are far too many people in every village and city and town
Who are only too willing to dismiss as unworthy the financially down
Who will tell you those in life who are doing it tough
Of respect are unworthy and as people not good enough
Judge not and you will not be judged as a truism remain
A truth that is timeless and it's own self does explain
Those who in their words condemn poor people are helping to uphold the social divide
Who is worthy or unworthy should not be for us to decide
Any self improvement as a person is never too small
There is room for some in most of us if not in all.
