A Bright Star Poem by Alison Gaff

A Bright Star

There is a star that shines so bright
In the deepths of the long dark night
It comforts me to see it there
And makes me think that you still care,
Although I know you've gone away
It gives me hope we'll meet again one day.
When my turn comes to leave this place
I'll come and join you up in space
Then re-united we will be,
Once more together you and me.
As for those I'll leave behind
I hope I'll stay with in their mind
And when their time comes to be free
They'll gently float up here to me.
