A City Called Nirvana Poem by Akujuobi Chijioke

A City Called Nirvana

Rating: 5.0

On the base of a solemn suit
Lay the basket of unripened glory;
Barricaded with gallons of deceitful insight
That startle the gods with an unending story.

The dusty freckles raises its empty bowels
Unleashing rapacious enslaving strings
That bind mortals to pepertual darkness
In the dance of the crickets on barren springs.

A city beautified in lustre
Ageless to the tunes of her lustrous doubts;
Taking immortal bathes on cadeverous lakes
Where piercing yells are godless shouts.

The streamy strands of her vicious hair
Are the appeals of unleavened scripts,
Decorated in black spotted mascara
Idolized by her infants devoured by her priests.

A city mounted on ominous hooks
Under her branches vultures find solace.
Enlightenment married with unpolished truths
Under the intoxication of her watery furnace

The city called Nirvana...
How distanced her freedom is!
As she climbs the long ropes of insanity
To the heights- beneath the abyss...
