A City Like Life Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

A City Like Life

A City Like Life

A city like mine will be disparate,
An appendageslike me will be mine to follow,

And here on the winding streets leads to,
The choruses of songs you will never hear,

Beautiful music to honor man and his tribes,
Here you are a beautiful welcomed stranger,

Here'sa city in its ancient beliefs like heaven,
With bright walls and shinning towers,

Here will my best poems
And the untainted manifestos,

Here the encounters reached at the pinnacles for your dreams incantations,

Here mysteries dissolved and unravels like the features of men ensconced with bright holiness,

Here I will give my vulnerable love for the wanting, a city once I disliked.
Now in this final alterations,

A place to call my body home,

Here I will display my beautiful body without thorns.
To my real father and mother,

I will begin like a new music from the beginnings like life,
