A Cocktail Far Too Bland Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

A Cocktail Far Too Bland

Rating: 5.0

Old for sure, no more good nor yet grand,
A drink not in flavour, stale, too bland,
Cast has the king old skin,
The new one not yet seen,
It hisses, hard put still to defend.

The so-called Grand Old Party is in dismal shape after poles. And yet the old stiffness is intact. Not in touch with realities. Alas, an old king cobra has cast the skin, but the new one is not in place.

This ditty was penned after 2014 elections. It is more valid now after 2019 poles.
