A Commoner's Song Poem by Tony Adah

A Commoner's Song

I am down
Like a cripple
I can't rise.

Like a pig
I am proud mud plodding
If you can leave the mountain
To this valley
Come,
Condescend and be my age mate
And get a garb of mud,
I am down
Fear, my friend.
