A Couple Moments Of Your Time Poem by J. Hosmer

A Couple Moments Of Your Time

Can you lend me only but a couple moments of your time,
To help cope with closure in my mind,
I can't take being left in the dark,
My heart can't take anymore like the last mark.

I'm not like the rest,
I try my best,
All the time that I take,
Why waste it being fake.

The effort that I put in,
Though it may seem slim,
Is everything I can give,
It's how I live.

It's getting tough,
The road of life is rough,
All I can do is move,
I've got nothing to prove.

I'm only but a speck of sand,
In this barren wasteland,
Getting kicked around,
Just waiting to be found.

Wishing I was a piece of glass,
Most people would just pass,
Until one will wait,
But I guess that's up to fate.

I'm just me,
I wish you could see,
I just want to be happy,
That's all that I want to be.

So like I ask,
Can you come out,
Remove the mask,
I have something I want to talk about.
