A Cup Of Tea Poem by Nazmul Haque

A Cup Of Tea

Life is but taking a cup of tea..
Living it in an easy
and careless way.

After feeling a lot of tension,
After running on the race of life,
After my dream is broken into pieces-
I just need a cup of tea
To stand up again-
In new spirit.

The warmth of sweet relation,
the fellow feeling-
When you, I - we all
sit together in a tea-stall
And drink, speak, smile..
up to the heart's limit,
Our friendly circle-
Where else can I find it.

Life is but taking a cup of tea..
In Shakil Vai's Tea Stall.
Life is but taking a cup of tea..
Drink it,
Live it,
In an easy and careless way.

It is a perspective...your perspective, and so many others too, it negates all the strifes, struggles, fever and fret of life...one who does not have things to eat and place to live who cannot just take a cup of tea... the proteus of life never sits still, and one has to go with the tides-high or low...the pulse stays never the same, the heart does not beat in balanced rhythm...the remedy keeps on changing too... Life is but taking a cup of tea.. Living it in an easy and careless way... what if we read the word carefree instead of careless... this your poem leads us to think about Brecht's concept of a detached attitude where there is a need to watch the play having cigarette in fingers in an ease...without getting involved into the tensions of the sufferer (unlike the greek concept of developing pity to approach him...) well, your poem is like a first aid or a temporary pain-killer..after taking which we need to prepare for serious surgery in life! ! !
