A Different Time And Place Poem by David Harris

A Different Time And Place

I'm glad I got to know you
before the Lord took you away.
It may have been a brief few years,
but our history was more than that,
in different time and place.
You brought into my life
so many memories always well.

You may be gone from my view,
but forgotten you'll never be,
too many smiles passed our way.
No amount of time can pass,
but they'll never dim in the sunset light.
The glow they gave at the time
will always brighten up my life.

One day I know we'll meet again,
it will be our destiny some day
when the Lord feels it's time
that I must go away.
Until that day comes to pass
I have pictures to remember you
and our good times together.

Memories never fade away,
but linger deep within
the back roads of our mind.
On days they meet at the crossroads
I will live them all again.
It is not a time to say farewell,
but goodbye until we meet again.
