A Fake Smile

A smile on my face is all you need to see
The faint sounds of the trees “creek”
I close my eyes
To see you inside

Wondering what you’ll see
Remember me?
I can show you
What we used to be

Happy and Fun
Just to see
Each other just as plain
As we could be

Poem of the Day

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
