A Family Lost Poem by Ray Hansell

A Family Lost

The night was dark and grey
Storm clouds filled the sky
But he wanted to get his family home
That's why they boarded his plane to fly

He took off from a small airport
He turned the plane and headed east
Knowing he was flying
Directly into the stormy beast

Unfortunately he hadn't gotten far
When his plane hit the hill side
There were four people on the plane
Not a one of them survived

A stormy night and dark sky
Can be so ungiving
The one's who feel the loss the most
Are family and friends still living
