Slanting rays of the morning sun
Carabaos, goats, and pigs
Along the grassy lane
An old man with a staff
Sits by the door
Of his thatched hut
Waiting for his grandson,
Chickens, ducks, and pigeons
Scatter on the backyard
He feeds them
All he has now
Is this simple life
In a farm house in Dicayo River
Waiting for an angel
To sing his final song
He sighs soon he shall die
the river flows nearby
