A Fly In Your Web Poem by Dakota Ellerton

A Fly In Your Web

The worst part of this situation
is that it feels like a lie
all those things you tell me
always make me cry

my stupidity has led me off the path
and into your loving arms
like a spider and it's cobweb
I'm captured by your charms

I was a fool to ever believe
thing's aren't always as they seem
love and happiness
are better left in dreams

It hurts when you whisper
those sweet nothing's in my ear
saying you'll always love me
saying what you know I long [want] to hear

well my dear
what do you have to say
besides that you will love me
for forever and a day

two years too many
you'll forget me by then
I'm ignorant to this feeling
why must all good thing's end

Hmm wonderfully written! Sad and heartbreaking words, that are relatable to me. Very well done miss!
