A Fool Poem by April Darcy

A Fool

Rating: 5.0

Boy, I can't deny my love.
It is perfectly clear when asked, 'Why? '
I simply reply:
'Somedays it's hard to say,
But the answer can always be heard -
Heard within my heart.'
So, please tell me -
Tell me that you love me.
Please tell me that you do.
I need to know that you still love me
And, that you still care.
But, you don't -
You don't love me.
You only worked your voodoo to boost your ego.
Were you getting desparate?
So, bored with life that you had to play a game with mine?
Now, everyone knows that you're only a boy -
A boy who could never be a man.
And, I a fool, who played by your rules.
