like a shadow beside me
you were there through thick and thin
held my hand and kept me save
in times of despair and grief
you were a constant reminder to me
to hold on and stand strong
my savior and shepherd
my only true friend,
though its hard to believe
you gave your life for me
you sheltered me from the rain
and kept the wolfs away
and though am not a saint
your love for me remains
your friendship is as sure
as the sunrise in the morning
what else could i ask for?
