A Girl's Best Friend
I remember, very young
One thing so clearly
My 'bestest friend'
Being buried
We had this connection
Alexis and I
Like our souls were always together
I still feel her with me
No matter where I am
She stands with me, protecting me
From any kind of harm
She was my four-legged sister
A big part of my heart
When I lost her, I didn't
She stayed here with me
And never left
She was
A little girl's best friend
