A Heck Of A Character Poem by Raymond Farrell

A Heck Of A Character

When I arrived at university
Here in Hangzhou, China
I had to take
Chinese language classes
During the course
The professor, to impress us
Wrote the Chinese character
For a particular type of cancer
The character was composed
Of one hundred strokes in all
The English word
Floccinaucinihilipification
Immediately flashed through my mind
And for obvious reasons
No doubt.
