A Hot Shower, Not, Rethought Poem by Linda Hepner

A Hot Shower, Not, Rethought

This shower's never hot enough
Not hot enough
However high I turn the knob
It runs hot for a minute, quite hot, then lukewarm
And there is stays.
It's been like that for months and weeks and days.
So should I call my plumber, PhD?
Or call my friend Pandora, 'me me me'?
The plumber, though he plumbs, is out to douse,
And Pandy may well think I'm out to grouse
About the cost of owning….house… and spouse….
Unreasonable demand for constant flow?
Well, this tank needs refilling and a spot
Of tinkering, because it may be slow
But come on God! I like it HOT!
