A Journey From You Poem by Dorota Szumilas

A Journey From You

Rating: 5.0

God!
So I'm going to forget you
Because you keep silent
You probably think it's best,
you shy away from talking.

Run away! I'm not going to chase you.
I'm not going to think about you...

Memories will sometimes rattle
like the rumble of a train slowing down.
And silence will fall... in which
you can only hear
the murmur of passengers talking.

Some will get off at the next stop.
I'll be among them. At last!
I'll take a breath of fresh air,
new life.
