Dear my broken heart
As i was floating in the skies of love
You paid an unexpectedly
visit to the core of my soul
Your roots inside my soul you planted
Confirming me as your victim
My weight you have
consumed on
My mirror can bear witness
My clothes can attest
You have introduced me to loneliness
A companion occupying
empty pits of my heart
My appetite for love
You have suppressed
My tongue no longer longs
for a taste of love
Though you have been a
nightmare
I cherish your visit
For you have made me
stronger

A well articulated poem written with insight to capture its essence and the poet's conviction. Broken hearts do mend as passage of time gives the victims better perspective to at least understand and let go. A nice piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
