A Life's Worth Poem by Austin Moore

A Life's Worth

You’ve got to stand still to watch life fly by you
Most people would feel pain and say déjà vu
That’s the thing about life, It doesn’t undo
All of the pain that makes us feel see through

Bending the blade that allowed me to draw blood
Is it just me or does this look like mud
I’ll open my arm up like a flower bud
Wear a life-jacket and prepare for the flood

Break my wall of thoughts and let out the confusion
Give me peace of mind to dissolve this delusion
Is my life worth living in this seclusion
I feel it’s worth at least a blood transfusion
