A Light Exists In Spring / O-Lumina-N Primavara Poem by Magdalena Biela

A Light Exists In Spring / O-Lumina-N Primavara

A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.

It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.

Then as Horizons step
Or Noons report away
Without the Formula of sound
It passes and we stay —

A quality of loss
Affecting our Content
As Trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a Sacrament.

O-lumina-n Primăvara

O-lumina-n Primăvara
Tot anul nu luceste
In nici o alta perioada -
Cand Martie-abia soseste

Culoare-mprastiata
pe Campuri Sihastrite
Stiinta n-o poate pricepe
doar Omul o presimte.

Asteapta peste Iarba,
Pan' la Copacu-n zare
Peste indepartat ponor
Ca iti vorbeste pare.

Cand Orizonturi pleaca
Cu-Amiezele-n tandem
Far'-a sunetului formula
Se duce, noi ramanem -

Este-o zadarnicie
Pe Suflet abatand
De parca Schimbul cazu brusc
Peste-un Sfant Juramant.
