A Light In A Window Poem by David Harris

A Light In A Window

Rating: 5.0

There is a light in a window
that burns to show me the way.
Back to my home
when my wandering days are through.

My love she keeps it burning
though she is far away
to let me know
our love will never go astray.

One day I will find that window
on my travels around
and when I find it
then I’ll know I’ll be home.

A heart can be a careless thing
wanting to wander and stray,
but with a deep love within
at home it will always stay.

Therefore, if you have wanderlust
keep it at bay.
Never let yourself be driven
to wander away.

If you do not heed my words
and lost, you are to wander.
Remember there is
a light in a window somewhere.
