Love creeps in like the rain
Falling from the sky.
It is abundant. the way that it gives.
Quietly washing away old versions
Of ourselves. Leaving a reflection
In the puddle.
Love thunders and sizzles
The opposite direction of lightening
Striking the ground.
First humming and buzzing
Before singing aloud.
It strikes in a flash, evaporating
Back to the clouds.
There is a light that shines somewhere.
Whether this light shines through
The clouds
Or chooses to take a break, flickering on
With the flip of a switch.
The rain will come down to kiss away
On your weary heart and soak you in it's affection.
Choose to accept the comfort of knowing
That there are things bigger than you.
Things that you have no control over
