A Little Hope Goes A Long Way



It was a long hot day...
And a longer hotter ride in the lurching boat
Over swells that rolled gently
And spoke of the lurking monsoon
My eyes strained to see the jetty on the other side
Knowing you were there, on that piece of land
the most valuable real estate there is in my heart
I'm coming home to you today
And tomorrow.
And I hope the day after that...
