Who would have guessed
I could ever fall for you?
Maybe I’m just impressed
Because to me you’re kind of new.

I’ve known you for a while
But I never took the time
To notice your loving smile
And to wish you were mine.

But there’s only one thing
That stands in my way.
I can see you falling
More and more for her each day.

I’ve already lost
Someone I love to her,
And that was too great a cost,
And now my heart is just a blur.

I wish I could say
That you could fall for me
But I don’t think there’s such a way
You and I can ever be.

It sounds tragic I know.
A love that can’t be fulfilled.
If only I knew the way to go.
Then my chances wouldn’t be killed.

Not only can’t our hearts
Find one another,
You love her too much to part.
So it’s my feelings I will cover.

Maybe someday still
I will tell you every thing
But until then my heart is ill
And you’re just another pain in life,
love will bring.
