A Missing Note For You Poem by Samantha Young

A Missing Note For You

Some say you can't die from a broken heart
I'm not so sure, this emptiness rips me apart
The love that was there was cut in half
The day you left
And here I still stand
With a note in my hand
It was written for you, if you were ever to return
How stupid can I be? When will I learn?
You're not coming back for me, You don't even care
You lied to me when you told me you'd be there
When you told me you would never leave me
Am I blind? Can't I see?
The whole time we were together
There was another promised forvever
Someone else to share your laughter
I hope you enjoy your happy ever after...
