A Mountain With A Face Poem by Clairabella Shoens

A Mountain With A Face

There once was a limestone mountain
That reached high up into the sky,
Letting nature take it's toll.
Every year came acid rain
Setting the sky on fire,
Slowly eroding the mountain.
The concentration increasing regularly
Two holes were in the limestone mountain,
It could see all the mistakes of the humans.
Rockslides shaked the mountain
Piling up in a crescent moon shape,
The mountain could taste the pollution in the once clean air.
The mountain stands there to this day
giving wisdom to the children of this generation
It is the wise,
Mountain with a face.

I love how you vividly paint a picture while you describe this place. I loved the ending, too! Great work, Claire :)
