A New Day Poem by Daniel Bates

A New Day

Shadows of yesterday cast no light
Cause, forth into frey by morning sight
Heathen, beast, charlatan and foe
A new dawn of Sapians forgotten woe

Bereft of guilt and nights sweet sin
Twilights lament, is moros' kin
For tis' my friend in the rise
Where you shed nights guise

So be not disheartened or so undone
By yesterday's weighty metric tonne
Vanquish and unburden pasts dictum
Stand up, breath and Carpe Diem
