A New Path Of Love Poem by Daya Nandan

Those special moments that we treasured and shared,
That passionate feeling like the sun's flames that flared,
Those days when we would just think of eachother everyday,
Gone with the winds of change, that love you had just faded away,

Yes, you did hurt me, but the one at a bigger loss here is you,
I lost a woman i cared for who i thought i knew,
But you lost a man that would move heaven and earth for love,
One who has always looked at you as an angel from above,

i guess your love is not that love that would last through the ages,
i am probably just another guy in a few of your life story's pages,
To you love is nothing more than a joke, for you it changes with the season,
Which is why you can never learn to love without a reason,

the past is over and my pain is scattered to the winds of time,
And a new journey shall start in my world's rhythm and rhyme,
And sure enough with time i'll meet another woman who warms my heart,
And with that once again, the magic of love will will start,

I'll make sure i cherish her and bring out the best in her,
i'll keep no secrets and tell her about how we were,
i'll listen to her heart's content and make her smile when she is sad,
I'll make sure she knows that i love no matter how bad the day that she had,

i'll show her my heart and let her know that it is her special place,
i'll love her so much and cuddle her in my warm embrace,
I'll stare deeply in her eyes underneath the starry blanketed skies,
I'll tell her everyday that she is God's earthbound angel in disguise,

You could compare yourself to her only to realise she has something you lack,
Those special gifts that prevents any relationship from being a ship wreck,
Faithfulness, loyalty and trust are the traits this angel shall possess,
And i shall stand by her with all my heart in times of joy and times of stress,

She will ask me to thank you for your teachings young woman that i used to know,
Because of you i have learned a lot about love from the mistakes that you used to show,
I know what not do and i know the pain you have inflected to me,
You taught me well enough of how a horrible lover can be,

Each mistake is make is a stepping stone i take,
And thanks to you now better decisions in life i shall make,
I'll give her the key to my heart and show my tender love so young and true
And if you should come back just know that the doors are locked for you,

For i will be faithful to her and never play with her heart so pure,
I will heal the wounds of her past, i'll be her soothing cure,
And i'll show you her magic, that magic that makes my heart skip beats,
And you will be wondering what if things were different, walking by the city streets,

And hopefully in time on our love God's light in all it's beauty will shine,
That day when i will be hers and she will be mine,
That moment of joy that can give a weakened heart new life,
The day i will hold her waist and introduce her to you as my wife: D
