A Night Out -Or In- Poem by Hannah Grace

A Night Out -Or In-

It was an evening of galore
With the ladies and gents’ dressed in glamour
The night was cool and foggy
But the instruments and people were filled with glee
Once a week, Johnny Marvin would sing; “True Blue Lou, ” on the nearest Friday
The weekday was no longer gray
The children were left home to bray at the nanny
The saxophones and trumpets were peaceful and uncanny
If you couldn't make it to the festival of jazz, you could avert your ears to the radio
The new, innovative radio made the air seem light and aglow
For, it made the evening nights at home, alive.
