A Night Out Poem by Saul Palti

A Night Out

It was a night to remember under the stars
a bright beholder that shun through the night
flickering lights, to quick to see from fast cars
we flew into the sky taken away by flight
memories lit up by embrace fallen away
all day morning the sun to go from the sky
when we could begin our fun and play
reaching to the above without wings we fly

was a deceiver present under the glow
of creation which had no answers
just a stream turns to a river and begins to flow
or a long lost boy reaching out to the lovers
all has past into the everglade from beneath
wanting a true friend to come clean
tides present home comes from underneath
under the canvas of his chilling mean
